Over 60’s 2025

Over 60s East Premiership division results Friday 18th February 2026

Linlithgow Rose 0 v Oriam 3 (Willie Lumsden, Ewan Duffy, Stuart Ainslie)

Dundee 1 v Oriam 0

Fife Wanderers 1 v Oriam 1 (Ewan Duffy)

North Lanarkshire 0 v Oriam 0

We started our 2026 League campaign with a strong perfomance against Linlithgow. Next game up was against Dundee and although we worked their goalkeeper on several occasions we just couldn’t make the breakthrough and went down to 1 of only 3 goals that Dundee scored on day 1, which sees them sit top of the league.

We continued to play some good football in the next game against Fife Wanderers but again some fine goalkeeping restricted us to just the one goal and a share of the points.

Our final match saw us play out an entertaining 0-0 against a good North Lanarkshire side.

Overall, not as strong a start as we would have hoped for but the league table shows how tight this league is going to be once again.

We go again in May and between now and then will be taking full advantage of our Thursday squad training sessions.

POTY 2025 – Kadry

Over 60s East Premiership division results Friday 24th October 2025

Linlithgow Rose 0 v Oriam 0

Hearts 56 1 v Oriam 1 (Stuart Ainslie)

Alloa Gold 4 v Oriam 2 (Gerry Butler, Ewan Duffy)

Dunfermline Dynamos 0 v Oriam 4 (Stuart Ainslie x2, Ewan Duffy, Dougie Collins)

We went into the last round of games on 24th October third in the league and only 2 points behind the leaders, Dunfermline Dynamos. Our squad for the day was Kadry, Alan McD, Colin, Gerry, Paul R, Stuart, Ewan and Dougie.

It was an incredible day with dramatic results, huge movement in league positions  and competition for Champions League spots going right up to the last games.

Our fixtures were against the 4 other teams in top 5 league positions at the start of the day. Our first game was a 0-0 draw against Linlithgow Rose followed by a 1-1 draw against Hearts ’56.  We then lost 4-2 to Alloa which ensured that they were crowned champions and Fife Wanderers who had secured 10 points on the day were safe in second place.

We kept our best to last. Going into our last game against a now third place Dunfermline we were sitting fifth. A resounding 4-0 victory saw us overtake both Dunfermline and Dundee to finish third and qualify for the Champions League at Ravenscraig on 19th December.

Scorers on the day were our usual sharp shooters Dougie, Ewan and Stuart with Gerry firing in a fantastic long range shot against Alloa.

Great effort across the league season and thanks to Dave Whitelaw for helping out on the touch line.
